About Me

Hi, I'm Lori — a Southern mama navigating the beautiful, messy, and rewarding journey of family life. This blog is where I share the real stuff: the late-night feedings, the laughter, the hard days, and the moments that make it all worthwhile.

Warm, softly lit portrait-style image with deep shadows and muted earthy tones, conveying a reflective and personal mood.

My Family

I'm married to Matt, a former Marine who served in the Corps and spent time stationed in Pensacola between two different Marine Corps schools. Together we're raising our children — including our son Jordan — and building a life rooted in love, faith, and a little bit of Southern charm.

Why This Blog Exists

I started Ramblings of a Southern Mama as a place to document our days — the big milestones and the small, ordinary ones. From Jordan's birth story to reflections on returning to work after maternity leave, these pages hold pieces of our story. I hope they resonate with other parents walking a similar path.

Connect With Me

You can find me sharing snippets of our life on social media. I'd love for you to follow along.

Life as a Southern mama moves in seasons — some full of sleepless nights spent rocking a baby in the quiet hours, others filled with the joyful chaos of toddlers and school drop-offs. Through it all, this space has become a place to document the real, unfiltered moments that shape our family. From the NICU days that tested our strength to the ordinary mornings that somehow feel sacred, every entry here is a thread in the larger story we're weaving. It's not about perfection; it's about showing up, keeping your heart above your head, and holding tight to the people and faith that carry you through.
